IDA (Indore Development Authority) has planned to construct 2200 houses for the EWS (Economically weaker section) and LIGs (Lower Income Groups) in the financial year of 2017-2018. Some development projects have also been planned alongside the city for the same duration. The IDA Board has thus approved the residential development projects in a meeting last Thursday.
Press release states that the development authority for the city has set construction targets for 2200 houses that fall under PM Housing scheme’s category of EWS and LIGs. 46 shops and showrooms are also said to be constructed besides 223 flats & Apartments under the scheme no. 140. Also, scheme 136 will cater to the building of approximately 646 LIG flats. The proposal for (G+9) building, along with 2-3 BHK flats is also under development in accordance with the same scheme. Super Corridor Indore would thus have a high-rise building for residential purposes.
Scheme 54 declares that IDA will develop the bus terminal land into an arena comprising a bus stand, hotel and shopping complex. A consultant has specifically been appointed to execute the plan as the authority is also discussing upon an AC market in the above said area.
